Luxembourg’s federation for commerce, transport and services is looking for a new director after announcing that Nicolas Henckes is stepping down.

In a press release published on Friday, the CLC said that Henckes was hired in 2017 to lead the re-organisation of the lobbying body. “Four years later, this process has come to an end and Nicolas has informed the board of directors of his willingness to take on a new professional challenge as of 1 January 2022.”

Starting next week, the clc will post a job offer to find a successor.

Fernand Ernster, its chair, paid tribute to Henckes’ leadership. He said: “Nicolas was the right director to define and carry out such a disruptive strategy. Thanks to him and the team he built around him, the clc was able to more than hold its own during the health crisis. I thank him warmly for his work and for his responsible approach to managing this transition. It was a pleasure to work with him and I wish him the best of luck in finding his new professional challenge.”

The clc represents around 11,000 companies, employing close to 100,000 staff in Luxembourg.
